India has the largest postal network in the world with over 1, 55,015 post offices. A single post office on an average serves a population of 7,175 people. The floating post office in Dal Lake, Srinagar, was inaugurated in August 2011.
India.com says,"The floating post office was inaugurated by former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in August 2011. Since then, it has been attracting tourists from all across the country. While it is a boon to the state’s tourism, the post office is also looked as a tribute to the beautiful Dal lake. Standing on a huge house boat, the post office also includes a philately museum and a shop that sells postage stamps among other things. These include picture post cards, greeting cards, local souvenir items, stationary and several books on Kashmir. Other services at the post office allow tourists to call and email their friends all across the world."

#6 : The world's Second largest producer of milk after USA

In terms of milk production from all mammalian species, India leads the way, bolstered by its buffalo milk producers. In cows' milk alone, however, it is second to the United States. The milk production in India had increased substantially in the 2014-15 season. Today, India contributes a whopping 9.5 percent of the global cows' milk production. Meticulous planning and a scientific approach have played a major role in this increased milk production.

#10 : Water on the moon was discovered by India

India's own Moon Impact Probe (MIP) on board the country's maiden unmanned lunar craft had also detected evidence of water on the moon in a finding confirmed by US space agency Nasa which too had an instrument onboard Chandrayaan-I.
The Nasa meanwhile thanked Isro for enabling the discovery of water on moon through Chandrayaan-I.
